Take a look in the mirror – what do you see, what do you say?

Are you celebrating the strength or are you criticizing the “imperfections” as you see them? Take those words you just said about yourself, and change the pronoun. Instead of “I am” say “She is” is that a comment you would make about a friend? Would you even think it about your friend? If the answer to that is no, why would you say it to yourself?
What you say to yourself MATTERS. In this case it’s not seeing, but saying is believing. What you say to yourself will effect your mood, your patience, your confidence, how productive & successful you are – EVERYTHING.
If you’ve already conquered this demon – I am SO PROUD of you! It is a hard battle to fight. But if you haven’t won the battle just yet, I have some tips for you to start changing that inner voice TODAY. To get even more depth on this topic, make sure you get plugged into my FB Community : CONQUER!
STEP BACK AND ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS
- Do I use negative words to describe myself? Words like stupid, fat, or worthless.
- Am I over reacting to a single event or occurrence?
- Am I projecting? Are these thoughts what I assume other people say when they see me? (See above – would I say this to someone else)
- STEP WAY BACK FOR THIS ONE. How truthful is this, or is this just my insecurity?
Now it is time to REFOCUS & REWORD
“I’m so stupid, I should’ve never said that. They’ll hate me forever”
REWORD : “I made a mistake. I will apologize, ask for forgiveness, and forgive myself.”
“I can’t do that. I’m in horrible shape”
REWORD : “I will start at MY beginning. I will give myself grace, and hold myself accountable. I will do my best.”
“This is stupid”
REWORD : “It may feel strange at first, but I want to change my mindset and I know this is a good first step.”
“I hate my stomach pouch”
REFOCUS : “I carried two babies in my belly, I am incredibly strong”
“My legs are fat”
