Last Thursday on the All Caught Up Podcast, I talked about how we need to normalize talking about STARTING. I’m super passionate about this topic because when I was ‘starting’ it didn’t feel normal.
Everything that I was being told I SHOULD do felt insanely expensive, overwhelming, and impossible. And I had someone toss me a life raft (I’ll be eternally grateful to Sydney Delucchi for that).
Tell me if this sounds familiar, google drive packed full of freebies, trying to just piece it together. YouTube search full of ‘how to’ every little thing in your business. Pinterest boards full of blogs about creating the launch strategy, getting heard on IG.. it is hard AF.

After working with female entrepreneurs now for over a year, I know that my FAVORITE people to work with are those starting, pivoting, or just at a place where they feel overwhelmed or lost. I love helping women wipe the fuzzy outta their eyes and see their face when they finally see it clearly. When they see the plan, when they have the focus, when it all falls into place –
That’s why normalizing starting is so important to me – I wouldn’t be where I am today, if I hadn’t just put my feet on the floor and went for it. If I hadn’t had the courage to break up with a business I didn’t love. If I hadn’t stopped caring about what everyone would think about me talking to myself on a phone or computer for a job..
Every business – everyone talking about 6 + 7 figure earner – started at step one. Everyone’s step one looks different – but everyone has a step one. Today, I’m sharing with you my 5 Strategies to Starting. If you’re just getting going – this is self explanatory – but if you’re at a crossroads, or you’re still trying to figure it out, or if you are doing it, but you don’t know how… keep reading its for you too.
5 Strategies to Starting
1. Connect with Your Purpose
Clarify why you want to do this, who you want to do this for, and what it is you’re going to do. Not only will this help you with motivation to get moving, but this will also help you develop that productive and purposeful strategy that will help you get it done, without being chained to a computer.
2. Decide Where You’re Going to Show Up
If I can give you ANY advice that you really wanna take – this is it. Don’t feel the need to be everywhere. If you find yourself running 3 different IG accounts, a FB Group, a FB Page, and a Tik Tok.. I want you to ask yourself how good the content is on each one. You don’t need to show up everywhere to be successful – you need to show up where you’re people are and give quality content. Chances are if you are showing up all over the place – you’re probably not brining high value content.. HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS – valuable content will take you further than just posting everywhere.
3. Create a Sustainable Plan that Allows for Growth
One of the first things I see with my clients when they are starting out – they are trying to do cringe ‘all the things’. Their overwhelm comes from trying to work a plan that isn’t sustainable in their current place. Sustainability + Consistency is far better for your business than marathon work will ever be. You can change the plan as you grow – but don’t work yourself into burn out.
4. Stop the Scroll
Another thing my clients have done before working with me is piecing a ‘strategy’ together by taking a few things from a couple of different people. And there’s a few reasons this won’t work. First, to be effective a strategy needs to be very personal. It should be based on your energy, your vibe.. and someone else’s strategy won’t work for you. Second, quilting a strategy from a bunch of different things isn’t actually a strategy – its pieces. If this is you – stop scrolling. Create first – get your plan together, so you’re not influenced by anyone else.
5. Take Time Off
You do not always have to be working. I repeat, YOU DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE WORKING. Give yourself permission to put the phone down, shut the laptop, and WALK THE EFF AWAY from work. Don’t allow yourself to fall into burn out + overwhelm.
Start with these 5 steps and then keep going! And guess what, I’m making it easier to get started.
