I’ve literally seen that ‘I quit 2020’ meme hundreds of time rolling around the socials – and I feel it. I do, but I also know that you have 2 months left in 2020 – why would you waste that?

Today I’m sharing 5 ways to use these last two months that will set you up for success in 2021.
1. Remind yourself what you’ve learned this year.
And I do mean more than just stay 6 feet away and wash your hands. I’m talking about what did this year of “unprecedented” times teach you.
Maybe you learned how to budget more closely, or how to multitask – working from home & elementary zoom calls anyone? Maybe you found that slowing down and staying home wasn’t all bad. Maybe you learned how much you L O V E doordash (and yes that one is personal). But don’t forget what you’ve learned as we move from this historical year and ease slowly back into “normal” life.
2. Pick one “bad” habit a month, and quit.
You know you’ve been thinking about habits you need to drop – why not start now. Pick two, and conquer one each month you have left. How good would it feel to go into 2021 without your soda habit. How could would January look if you weren’t reaching for your phone first thing every morning…
3. Start correcting negative mindset.
2021 is going to bring with it B I G goals for you! You have big things to do in 2021 – and without the right mindset, no amount of work & grit is going to get it done. The first thing you have to do is be ‘in your right mind’.
Dedicate the remaining 2020 to MINDSET. And on January 1 – you’ll be ready for those big ole dreams. Join my Facebook Community CONQUER for help with mastering this mindset.
4. Recognize distractions.
In our technology, keep up with people we haven’t seen in 10 years on social, every single ad online – we are surrounded by distractions. Distractions keep you from focusing on what really matters to you. Get to know yourself well enough to know when you are being distracted – and learn to cut out distractions that throw you off course. If you fall victim to feeling ‘not enough’ by certain social media profiles, hit the MUTE button. If you spend far too much time in a scroll hole, set your timer on your phone when you are on social media – and commit to being done when it goes off. Once you recognize your distractions you’ll become more productive.
5. Don’t Quit.
It may be tempting to just hang it up on 2020 – and ‘start fresh’ in 2021.. But don’t do it. Don’t create bad habits in what is left of this year that you’ll have to undo before moving forward. Continue to set goals each month, continue to work on your personal growth and development, continue to build routines and good habits, KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
As we look to the end of the year – reword and refocus, instead of saying we only have 2 months left in this year, say WE STILL HAVE 2 MONTHS LEFT THIS YEAR. Use this time intentionally – just think of how much you can accomplish in 2021 – if you use these last 2 months to set you up for success.
