You can’t serve 2️⃣ masters.. but the three metrics Instagram is prioritizing right now are also the three metrics that tell you the most about your content.
👀 Watch Time : Instagram has added watch time to your insights on videos, as well as plays and replays.
➡️ Why it matters to you : If you have a reel that has a better than your average watch time take note of what made it different. And do it again.
💾 Saves : Did you know when someone saves your content, Instagram is more likely to show them more content of yours than if they had ❤️ liked the post.
➡️ Why it matters to you : If you have content with higher than average saves, you need to revisit the topic. Put this post in the repurpose pile!
🗣️ Conversations : Community matters to Instagram, in fact they have told us they think DMs will increase in 2024. Have you noticed when you talk to someone in the DMs you see more of their posts?!
➡️ Why it matters to you : DMs are where you build your community. And community > followers. The stats say.. consumers that are community spend up to 3x more with you, send their friends and family to you, and are repeat clients.
